ISMS Certification
Information security management system (ISMS) certification acquired by the DNP Internet Data Center
We have acquired ISO/IEC 27001 certification of the Conformity Assessment Scheme for Information Security Management System (ISMS) with the DNP Internet Data Center, the infrastructure base of our Internet services.
The Conformity Assessment Scheme for ISMS, a third-party conformity assessment system for information security management with international conformity, is managed by the Japan Information Processing Development Corporation (JIPDEC). The purpose of the certification is to improve the entire information security of Japan and achieve an information security level that can be trusted by overseas countries.
We have engaged in the Internet-related businesses with Media Galaxy, an integrated Internet service providing consulting, content planning and production, building of various systems, hosting and operation and applications. In this way, we have accumulated experience in the construction and operation of over 1,000 websites and built a track record in areas such as the housing service to undertake website operations and the Web campaign service.
The DNP Internet Data Center provides comprehensive services to offer solutions to the challenges faced in corporate Internet businesses. The solutions range from infrastructure, which includes the management and operation monitoring making use of facility environment with a quakeproof, fireproof and disaster-prevention structure and advanced security system and the connection with high-speed backbones, to the planning and production of websites and system development and construction. The IDC ensures three components of information security, namely confidentiality, integrity and availability, at a high level. It has acquired the ISMS Conformity Assessment Scheme certification for further warranting the safety and reliability of the services. (Certification body: JIC Quality Assurance Ltd.)
We manage and operate the DNP Internet Data Center, and have been enthusiastically conducting company-wide activities to protect personal information. This is exemplified by our acquisition of the PrivacyMark certification in 1999. In addition, our information processing department began working on ISO 9000-compatible quality assurance activities early on and acquired ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2001. We have continuously studied ISMS certification since the establishment of the system. This led us to come to the conclusion that the DNP Internet Data Center, in particular, would significantly benefit by and need this certification. Therefore, we acquired the Ver. 2.0 certification at a very early date compared with companies in related industries. (Registration date: September 11, 2003)
We now have completed migrating to ISO/IEC 27001. (Registration date: September 11, 2007)
DNP and DNP Digitalcom will continue to strive to further extend the scope of information security management and strengthen management to meet customers' demands for information security.
